In the catcher and the rye Holden seems to have a hard time dealing with Stradlater and the fact that Stradlater always seems to get what he wants from him. The reason I believe he seems to always say yes is that as he said in the book he's not very brave and doesn't like standing up for himself. He has some self-esteem issues and feels that he's superior to him and should get what he wants to avoid confrontation. The one time he did confront him, he ended up having a bloody nose. In the end Holden has to learn to stand up for himself and realize that sometimes you have to take charge.

Fingers crossed
Everyone has the days where they forget something. Sometimes it’s important sometimes it isn't. I’ve forgotten birthdays and projects, I’ve forgotten to call people back or to return a barrowed book. Yesterday however, I had the misfortune of forgetting my iPod (AKA the key to my sanity) in the pocket of my jeans before it went through the washing machine. I’m ashamed to say that this isn't the first time if have destroyed my iPod with water. The first time was my iPod touch when I spilt water on it and when I tried to turn it on the screen flashed and it was dead. This time however I have learned from my mistakes and sealed in a bag of rice in the hopes to dry it out and resurrect it. Fingers crossed that by tonight I will once again have my music in my ears.
And if not then R.I.P iPod nano, you will be missed.

Life as a teenager
Being a teenager isn't the easiest thing someone can do. Allot of people even say that your teenage years are the most stressful time of your life. well to be perfectly honest it pretty much is, your surrounded by people who judge you non-stop and you feel like you have to adapt and fit in. the problem is the more you change yourself the more you uncomfortable you feel. It’s impossible to ever feel at home when you’re pretending to be something you’re not. Most teenagers try to conform. The few that succeed are normally accepted in a group of friends. The ones who can't or refuse are often labeled as rejects or outcasts and spend their high school career with a small group of friends who are criticized by the ''popular''. In my opinion it is that group of so called rejects that can live the best lives in high school and in the end are better people. Don’t get me wrong there are people in that group who turn out to be horrible people and there are people who are popular that turn out to be great people, but the group of misfits and outcasts has a bound no other group has. They support each other and are there for you when you need help. They would take the shirt off the back to keep you warm. They drop everything for you in a heartbeat and stick with you through anything. Yes, there are people from other groups who do that, most people have that one friend who’s always there. I have at least a dozen friends who i know would stay up till 3 in the morning helping me with any issue I seem to have in my complicated life. that is why i am proud to say I am a reject and a misfit, I don't fit in with many people, but the ones that take me into their circle of friends, will be there for probably the rest of my life, and the minute they need me all i have to do is say the word and i am at their disposal. That is what it means to have true friends for life and I’m glad that I managed to find them at the hardest part of my life.
Thank you to all my friends who have been there for me and always will.

Life in residance

get well soon buddy

I just wanted to say that you need to stay strong and work through all of this, because in the end I think it would pretty cool to be able to say you're part machine like a cyborg. Anyways, we’re all pulling for you at garnier and hope to see you back here for the rest of the year. Keep your chin up and eyes on the nurses and you should be alright.

Most families seem to have privacy issues cause even if they have nothing to hide, they all have there own secrets that they want to stay secrets. People always feel uncomfortable when strangers know there intimate secrets. It’s simply human nature to want privacy. Also a lot of the times things you think aren't that bad can be taken out of context can seem absolutely horrible to others. For example a man goes drinking at his boss’s house after work one night and is to drunk to drive home. When his wife goes to pick him up he stumbles up the drive way to make a taco in a bowl with mayonnaise and happens to meet his daughter’s new boyfriend. Now having not heard that he rarely drinks to such extremes and was simply on a social outing during his intoxication one might think of him an alcoholic.

Best friends
We all have friends. Be they the people you go to the movies to, the people you run to when you’re sad and the people who will help you out when you need it. No matter what we all have people who are there for us and vice versa but the question do you have that one person who no matter what would come to help you? Who would drop everything for you with out any explanation? I know I do. My best friend has been through a lot with me we’ve helped each other out with small things like home work or moving. And we’ve helped each other out when he had family issues or I’ve lost a relative or another friend. No matter how times change and we change with them one thing remains the same. No matter what we’re there for each other 10 years from now I wont be the one bailing him out of jail, I’ll be the one sitting beside him saying we screwed up and he’ll just look at me and be like yeah, but it was totally worth it! And chances are we’d do the same thing all over again if you gave us the chance.
